Is heating with electricity not much more expensive?
Due to lack of information everyone still thinks of the small 2000 Watt fan heater with which you can warm your hands at most. This is history. Today the development of heating systems is much more advanced and you can heat your home adequately with an output of approx. 50 to 90 Watt per Qm (depending on the insulation). The effectiveness of modern infrared heating systems cannot be compared to any other heating system. Use energy wisely, save costs and protect the environment.

Do I need a new electricity installation or heavy current?
No, the normal plug fitted with 16 A fuse is designed for 3600 Watt permanent load. This means it is no problem to run a 600 or 1000 Watt heating system or both together with one plug. You don't need heavy current nor an additional electric meter. The Elbo-therm heating systems are run by 230V/50Hz.

What do I do with my old oil or gas heating system?
If you heat your home completely with infrared heating then the fossil heating system becomes redundant. It can be switched off or used for warm water only. If you get your warm water from a instantaneous water heater you can remove your old heating system completely. No further need for maintenance or the chimney sweep. In a rented accomodation you just switch off the heating system. When you move you can take the infrared heating system with you easily.

Are infrared heating sytems non-toxic?
Yes, absolutely. The are made of galvanised steel sheet. In the inside of this heating system is a specially developed heating element and a ecological tested special insulation. This heating system produces no odours or noises.

Where does the infrared heating have to be placed?
The heating system should be placed in areas where the most heat is needed and which can be irradiated freely. The room should always be calculated as a whole unit in square meters to have enough reserves for the вeally cold days

Can I use the Elbo-therm heating system in the bath or the toilet?
Yes, because every element is waterproofed according to protection class P X4.

How much electricity do I us effectively?
For example you take a 1000 Watt power for 20 Qm. The heating system is operated over a room thermostat plugged into a wall socket. With a heating time of 10 hours and a electricity price of 18 Cent/Kw it sums up to 1,80 EUR. The room thermostat ensures your heating system either switches off automatically when the target temperature is reached or operates on reduced power. With a heating time of 10 hours this regulation ensures a reduced electricity use of 40-50%. That is a cost reduction of approx. 95 Cent for 10 hours comfortable heat.
No gas or oil heating system is able to do this.
Convert from storage heating systems to infrared heating, then you contact your local electricity provider to receive low-price electricity. Depending on the provider you pay approx. 13 to 16 Cent instead of 17 to 21 Cent for normal electricity.

Does the infread heating system produce smog?
The magnetic field from this heating system is equal to a 40 Watt bulb and can be disregarded.

How hot can the surface of infrared heating system reach?
The maximun surface temperature of the Elbo-therm heating system is 90ｰ C. This degree value is according to VDE mandatory so that burns are impossible.

Does this heating system have a fan?
No, this heating system has no fan, it only operates with infrared radiation and does not need to circulate air. It operates silently and reduces dust turbulence. Our infrared heating systems have a radiation coefficient of performance of 94% and only 6% of the heat energy operates as convection.
